I am Lisa. I’m an award winning producer, filmmaker, and creative director.
For over 50 years, the National Press Photographers Association has awarded its Photographer of the Year Award to the finest in the nation. I was the first and only woman videographer to receive this honor.
I live in the Pacific Northwest, and run a small media company, Gold Dog Media, Inc. I specialize in producing stories for non-profit organizations. It’s where I find the most meaning—and joy. I’ve traveled to some of the most remote corners of the world, because I feel strongly about giving a voice to people who are rarely heard. I’ve produced films in over 30 countries.
My work with corporations and international news organizations has also given me powerful professional experience. I’m a filmmaker, teacher, storytelling coach, dog trainer, and I will never turn down a bag of Crunchy Cheetos.
My dogs? They’ve won awards too, but more about them soon. Let me tell you a bit more about my plans.
I’ve come to a fork in the road.
I could keep doing what I’ve been doing: board one more long flight to somewhere, chase someone else’s assignment, meet their deadlines. 5o countries and 47 states so far. I’ve certainly been there. I’ve done that.
Instead, I’ve decided to hook up my trailer (her name is Eleanor), load up my border collies, and begin something new. I’ve met fun, wonderful people throughout my career, working hard to heal our communities. They are professionals, non-profits, volunteers, and they could use our help. So I’ll search for them, tell their stories, and share my journey with you.
